Paid to Read Emails (PTR) scam or pyramid scheme? Can you really make money from just reading email? How much money can someone make reading email? Does getting paid to read email sound realistic?

There are literally thousands of programs for reading emails to make money online. As with any other business opportunities on the internet, some are legitimate while others are nothing more than scams. The difference with Paid to Read Email programs is they are free to join and you are not aware if reading emails to make money is a scam until it is time to cash out or request your payment. Once you do request payment from a large majority of Paid to Read Email programs you either are not paid or your account is terminated. Some Paid to Read Email sites will only pay you a percentage of what you have actually earned and others will not pay you at all.

There are many people on the internet who say reading emails to make money is great and truly believe they are a legitimate way to earn money easily. I on the other hand believe completely the opposite.

Some tips to avoid wasting your time and money on paid to read email programs.

1) Do the math. If the Paid to Read Email program ad prices are unsustainable or they do not update their ads to remain profitable as the  Paid to Read Email program grows, there probably is an issue. How can a Paid to Read Email program afford to pay 10,000 members $.01 (10,000 x $.01 = $100) to read an email when they charged the advertiser only $20 for the ad?Win $50,000 in Cash! That Paid to Read Email program just took a loss of $80 is they actually plan on paying the members of the program.

2) Paid to Read Email programs also have premium memberships or what is otherwise known as upgraded memberships. You pay the program a small fee to receive special benefits that are supposed to increase the possibility of you reading emails to make money. Before upgrading your membership with your Paid to Read Email program you should wait until you have been paid at the very least once. You should also write an email to the owner of the Paid to Read Email program before spending money with them. Did the web site owner write back?

3) Keep an eye on the advertising from the PTR program. If they are sending out emails from scam sites or are very slow getting emails out for you to read, that may be something to be concerned about.

I was very interested to find during my research of Paid to Read Email programs that there was so little negative written about them as a whole on the internet when they are nearly impossible to actually get paid from. On the other hand, when you do get paid and do the math to see how many hours you dedicated for that $10 payoff, it wasn't worth it.

In reality the only way to make money with Paid to Read Email sites is not by actually reading the emails but by getting people to join the Paid to Read Email program. Take a look at how much they pay you to refer a new member.

3 Questions to ask yourself when evaluating Paid to Read Email (PTR) programs:

1) So who is actually reading the emails?

2) Is any member of the Paid to Read Email Program actually reading the emails or just clicking through as quickly as possible so they can reach pay out as fast as possible?

3) How come all the advertising that you do receive is other Paid to Read Email Programs asking you to join?
