When trying to avoid paid survey scams there are some very basic things to keep in mind that will help you not fall for very common paid survey scams. The corner stone of all of this is that if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is. A very common "pitch" is usually something along the lines of making a full time income from giving your opinions at home in your pajamas. The other common claim involves making $175 in fifteen minutes participating in a focus group.

Let's apply a little common sense. If someone could make a full time income for just giving their opinion in their spare time, why would any one get a job. Basically what they are saying is forget getting a job and building a career or an education. Just give them $39.95 for a list of 400 survey sites and all your financial issues are solved. Does that sound realistic or like a paid survey scam?

Many scam sites use false testimonials to encourage you to sign up for their paid survey scam. The reality is anyone can type a glowing review and post it to their site. If someone who is willing to promote a paid survey scam they aren't going to have any issue making up testimonials. Ask for email addresses and/or phone numbers of people that are happy with the paid survey program. Also check out forums (scam.com) and see what other people are saying about the paid survey opportunity.

Another very common strategy of paid survey scam sites is to show documented proof. The most obvious fact is that with today's software it takes about 5 minutes to put together a false image. Just as previously stated, someone who is willing to promote a paid survey scam doesn't really have an issue about lying. Secondly just because someone made $100 once doesn't mean they did again and that you will.

Many paid survey site scams offer guarantees that are very unrealistic. Nobody can guarantee you earnings whether it be a paid survey scam or not. The only legitimate guarantee is offering your money back if you are not happy with the paid surveys.

In my personal opinion paying for a list of survey companies is a complete scam to begin with. I have paid the $39.95 to get a list of 400 paid survey websites. I took the days required to join every single paid survey company on the list and all I really received was tons of junk email. I was able to find four legitimate paid survey sites that you can see by clicking on the link. Once again let's apply some common sense. If someone really had a way that you could make a full time income through paid surveys, why would they sell it for only $39.95? People spend thousands upon thousands of dollars getting an education with no guarantee of wealth. If someone really could guarantee you wealth for taking paid surveys wouldn't it be worth a lot more?
